I know it has been a very long time since I have updated, and since it is the last day of the month I decided I better hurry and write a post so I can say I at least posted in the month of February!
As many of you have heard, our house hunting saga continues. The real estate agent called us the end of January and said the Mortgage Insurance company didn't feel like the sellers of the home were in enough financial distress, so they wouldn't pay the claim that the lender had submitted. The lender is asking for $40,000 more, and we aren't willing to pay that. There is still a slight chance that we could get the house. We have submitted another offer to the bank, with a slightly higher offer than our previous one, in hopes that the bank will look at it again and change their mind, but I'm not really getting my hopes up since we first started the process on this house in November.

Yeah!! An update. I almost called you the other day because I have been wondering where you are. I am SO sorry that you are still in limbo- that is awful! Keep us posted!
Good luck on the house. Brandon and I put an offer on a house in October and still haven't heard back from the bank so we had to keep looking! Those short sales are awful! They should call them long sales.
