Brody's Third Birthday

We celebrated Brody's third birthday a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to write down a few of his favorite things...or at least the things he said were some of his favorite things last week!

Favorite...
cereal- Cheerios, Trix
sandwich- Peanut Butter and Jelly (he would eat this every day for lunch)
show- Super Why, Curious George, Clifford
movie- Bolt, Cars, Enchanted (I give Brody free reign at the library. He can pick out any books to check out, obviously as long as they are appropriate. He also likes to pick out books for Rob and Seth. Ask Rob if he learned anything from the book Brody picked for him awhile ago- how to paint your car! Last time we were there as we walked to the cookbook section, he passed the young adult section and found an Enchanted book. It is way too long to keep his interest, but he does seem to really like the story! Enchanted is now also his preferred movie, silly kid!)

We took Trax to the Children's Museum for his birthday and he loved both the train and the museum. He was so good during the entire ride. After the museum we stopped by dad and grandpa's 'work office' and said hi. He came home for a hamburger dinner and that was his day.

He is such a fun and cute boy. We can't believe how quickly three years has gone by, or how much he has learned in these three years. We definitely have to watch what we say, and even some of the things we spell in front of him because he picks up on things so quickly. We love him so much and are so glad he is a part of our family. We are looking forward to this summer when he plays tee-ball for the first time, and he can't wait to hit a home run and run and slide!

FINALLY....

We are buying a house! We have found a house that we are excited about. The owners of the previous house we were hoping to purchase were able to do a home loan modification with the bank so it was withdrawn from the MLS. After waiting more than 5 months for that house we were really disappointed. So, we started looking even harder for that ever elusive "perfect house".

We are purchasing a brand new home (well, it was built in 2007, but it hasn't been lived in) that should be able to last us for a very long time. It is 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms with a main floor master. It has a big backyard that will need to be finished, but when it is done, there will be plenty of room for the kids to play.

We will be closing on or before June 10th and are very excited to have this 6-7+ month home search over with!
